Trying to Determine if You Are Allergic to Gluren

We have been parents for a short time and right now we are wondering if Robbie has some sort of allergy. In particular it seems like he is displaying some of the typical gluten allergy symptoms and we are going to talk to our doctor about what we do to find out if it is true or not. In fact he could have these symptoms for other reasons and it is not an allergy at all. The same symptoms are quite common and could be caused by a lot of other problems. They are pretty worrisome since Robbie is so young and he has lost a lot of weight due to the vomiting and the diarrhea. It has been going on for some time and Lynn realized that it seems to have coincided with the time frame when we were starting to feed Robbie normal food. At least that is what we were told. Of course you do not want to just start a child on table food immediately. From what we have learned the best thing is to start out a couple of days per week (once the child is eight months old) and then look for signs of allergies. Obviously you want to keep track of what you feed him and not make it too many things at once. You want to see if there is any problem. We gave him pieces of white bread with a couple of the meals and did not notice any problems. However we have been thinking it over again because the child is showing the symptoms of a gluten allergy the past few days and we are not seeing exactly what else he might be allergic to. It will be nice to figure out what he can eat and not have issues with.
